(1) All electricity consumed on customers’ premises shall be metered through the Department’s meters. No socket jumpers or other devices shall be allowed which cause current to bypass the meter.

(2) The consumer shall not in any way interfere with the proper operation of the Department’s meter in an attempt to evade payment for any electricity consumed.

(3) It shall be unlawful to break a meter seal or remove a meter from its mounting device except by gaining permission in advance from proper authority of the Department. A tampering fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00) plus costs will be assessed.
