The purpose of this Chapter is to regulate the placement, orientation, distribution patterns and fixture types of outdoor lighting installed in the City. It is the intent of the City to encourage lighting that provides safety, utility and security while preventing glare on public ways, protecting the enjoyment of private property rights, conserving energy resources and reducing atmospheric light pollution.
