When historic properties have been officially designated to the Provo Landmarks Register by the Municipal Council, the Commission shall promptly notify the owners of those properties. A notice of such designation shall be mailed to the owners of record together with a copy of Chapter 16.05, Provo City Code. In the case of historic district designation, such notice may be placed in the local newspaper or in a public building rather than mailed to each owner of record in the district. The Commission shall record the Historic Landmark Register status designation with the County Recorder’s Office.
