It is the intent of the City of Provo, Utah to repeal its utility revenue tax levied on gas and electricity and to adopt the municipal energy sales and use tax, pursuant to, and in conformance with, Utah Code Ann. § 10-1-301 et seq, “The Municipal Energy Sales and Use Tax Act.”
