(1) An MCS provider shall secure and maintain for as long as it provides multi-channel service to subscribers, Workers’ Compensation Insurance, in accordance with the laws of the State.

(2) An MCS provider shall extend coverage of such Workers’ Compensation Insurance to all full-time, non-exempt employees.

(3) Annually, a certificate shall be filed with the Council/franchising authority by either the insurance carrier or MCS provider showing such insurance to be in force.

(4) In the event that such Workers’ Compensation Insurance is canceled, revoked, not renewed, or otherwise terminated, then either the insurance carrier or MCS provider shall notify the Mayor, in writing, within five (5) working days of such cancellation, revocation, non-renewal, or termination.

(5) If the State permits the MCS provider to self-fund Workers’ Compensation Insurance, then the MCS provider may exercise its right and self-fund as long as minimal State Workers’ Compensation Insurance requirements are met.
