Damages to a public tree shall be determined at appraised value by the City Forester using the methodology of the International Society of Arboriculture and the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers. The City Attorney may take any legal action necessary to collect such damages that are not paid after assessment. Funds collected for tree damage shall be used to replace public trees.
