(1) No person shall engage in any type of retail fireworks sales, storage, or handling in Provo City without first having submitted an application for and obtained a license from Provo City to sell class C common State approved explosives. A separate license shall be required for each separate sales location, and the fee for each license shall be for each separate location at which fireworks are to be sold as shown on the Consolidated Fee Schedule adopted by the Municipal Council. The license fees required above shall not be required of an applicant for a license to sell fireworks within any permanent commercial building, if the applicant has been continually engaged in retail business in that building for the immediately preceding six (6) months. Each license shall remain in effect for twelve (12) months from its date of issue unless the licensee violates a provision of this Chapter, in which event the license may be revoked.

(2) The license for class C common state approved explosives, issued by Provo City, shall be available at the store or stand for presentation upon request to duly authorized public safety officials.

(3) Applications for a license shall be submitted to the Business License Officer and approval shall be governed by applicable provisions in this Chapter, in Title 6, Provo City Code, and elsewhere in the Provo City Code.
