Vision 2030

Vision 2030 is Provo's process for defining a 20 year vision for the Provo community. Vision 2030 is an opportunity for a broad look at the future of Provo.
A steering committee composed of some of Provo's best and brightest residents formed in January 2010 has been involved in learning more about the important issues facing the city and in defining the visioning process. The steering committee created 13 subcommittees focused on key issues facing the city. Subcommittees have studied key issue areas and recommended vision statements defining how Provo should tackle the issues over the coming years.
The work up to this point has now culminated in a master visioning document which was adopted by the Municipal Council in late 2011. Two public open houses were held in February, and the online comment form process has now concluded.
The next steps in Vision 2030 process will involve reassembling the subcommittee members and others to develop specific and measurable objectives and tasks for the next 12 months and to review progress to date. Stay tuned to this page for more information as the "action planning" process unfolds.
