(1) National Categorical Pretreatment Standards specifying quantities or concentrations of pollutants or pollutant properties which may be discharged to a POTW by existing or new industrial users in specific industrial subcategories have been established by EPA in 40 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter N, Parts 405 through 471, and are hereby incorporated.

(2) Users subject to categorical standards must comply with the categorical pretreatment standards found at 40 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter N, Parts 405 through 471.

(3) When wastewater subject to a categorical pretreatment standard is mixed with wastewater not regulated by the same standard, the Provo City’s Industrial Pretreatment Coordinator shall impose an alternate limit in accordance with 40 CFR Part 403.6(e).
