(1) The Chief of Police shall be responsible to hold and dispose of all lost or stolen property that comes into the possession of the Police Department in accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Title 24.

(2) The Chief of Police shall make full report to the City Director of Finance for the amount of money received at sale, and the monies received less actual expenses at the sale shall be handed over to the City Treasurer for final disposition as provided by law.
