In evaluating proposed development consideration shall be given to possible connections from residential areas to sites for schools, parks, playgrounds, trail systems and other areas for public use with pedestrian paths. Any provision for such open spaces shall be indicated on a preliminary plan in order to determine how such areas may dedicated to, or acquired by, the appropriate agency.
