2.05.010 Definitions.
Words used in this Chapter shall have the meanings set forth in Section 10-3-208, Utah Code, as amended, except as set forth below.
The “anonymous contribution limit” for each calendar year is zero dollars ($0.00). (See Section 2.05.020, Provo City Code.)
“Candidate” means any person who:
(a) Files a declaration of candidacy, or has a petition filed in the person’s behalf, for an elected office of the City; or
(b) Receives contributions, makes expenditures, or gives consent for any other person to receive contributions or make expenditures to bring about the person’s nomination or election to an elected office of the City; or
(c) Causes on the person’s own behalf any written material or advertisement to be printed, published, broadcast, distributed, or disseminated which indicates an intention to seek such office.
